Disclaimer
Please read this carefully before acting on anything TaoScope displays. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read and understood it.
1. General disclaimer
TaoScope is a blockchain explorer and analytics platform that displays publicly available data from the Bittensor network. Everything on this website is provided for general informational purposes only.
While we work to present accurate and current information, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the information, tools, or graphics on the website.
2. Not financial advice
TaoScope does not provide financial, investment, legal, or tax advice
- Nothing on this website is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any digital asset, including TAO or any subnet alpha token.
- Displaying a validator, subnet, or network participant is not an endorsement of it.
- Do your own research before making any financial decision.
- Consult qualified financial advisers, tax professionals, and legal counsel where appropriate.
3. Risks
Participating in Bittensor — whether by holding TAO, staking, delegating, or mining — carries significant risk.
| Risk | What it means |
|---|---|
| Price volatility | TAO and subnet alpha prices can move sharply in short periods. |
| Loss of capital | You may lose some or all of the value you commit. |
| Liquidity risk | Subnet pools can be thin. Exiting a large alpha position moves the price against you. |
| Mining risk | Registration burns are recycled and non-refundable. You may be deregistered before earning anything. |
| Validator risk | A validator you delegate to may lose its permit, drift from consensus, or go offline, reducing your returns. |
| Protocol risk | Bittensor's economics have changed materially before and may change again. |
| Technical risk | Blockchain networks and the software around them can contain bugs, be attacked, or fail. |
| Regulatory risk | Rules governing digital assets differ by jurisdiction and may change. |
Only commit what you can afford to lose
4. Data accuracy
We work to present accurate data, but you should be aware that:
- Data is sourced from the Bittensor blockchain and from third-party APIs, principally Taostats.
- Responses are cached, so information may be delayed relative to the chain head.
- Information may be incomplete or contain errors.
- Price data may differ from prices quoted on exchanges or other explorers.
- Historical data may not reflect all market conditions.
- Network statistics can vary because of chain reorganisations or indexing delays.
Always verify anything critical against multiple sources, and against the chain directly, before acting. Our sources and limitations are documented in Data sources.
5. Estimates and calculators
Some figures on TaoScope are calculated rather than read directly, including estimated miner earnings, break-even periods, yield figures, and the alpha buy simulator. These are estimation tools only.
- Calculations apply current conditions and documented assumptions; they are snapshots, not forecasts.
- Actual outcomes may differ significantly from any estimate shown.
- Estimated miner earnings do not account for hardware, electricity, bandwidth, or operational costs.
- Yield figures are derived from recent observed returns and are not guaranteed.
- Simulator results do not account for price movement between simulation and execution.
Formulas and their inputs are published in the metrics glossary. No estimate should be the sole basis for a decision.
6. No guarantees
TaoScope makes no guarantee regarding:
- The accuracy or completeness of any information displayed.
- The performance of any validator, subnet, miner, or other network participant.
- Future returns, yields, or outcomes of any kind.
- Continuous availability of the Service.
- The security of the Bittensor network or any related service.
- The success of any mining, delegation, or staking strategy.
7. Third-party content
TaoScope displays content from and links to third-party sources, including subnet repositories, community channels, and data providers.
- We do not control or endorse third-party content.
- Links are provided for convenience only.
- We are not responsible for third-party websites or services.
- Third-party content carries its own terms and risks.

- This includes, without limitation, loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
- We are not liable for losses arising from your reliance on information provided by the Service.
- We are not liable for losses resulting from mining, staking, delegation, or trading of digital assets.
